What are the different parts of India?
What makes each part different (people, culture, language, etc)?
For better understanding I would like to divide India into 6 different parts.
This division will help us to understand the whole map at one glance.
So 5 different parts are :
1) Northern Himalayan belt :
States: Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranachal
2)Northern Plains India:
States: Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar.
3)North Eastern India: Dense forest :
States: Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura.
4)Central India : Dry desert :
States: Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand.
5)Coastal India:
States: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal.
6)Islands:
Islands: Diu, Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Lakshadeep, Andman & Nicobar.
